Romania to receive oxygen concentrators from Poland, the Netherlands

Prime Minister of Romania recently attended a videoconference with various health representatives and Government ministers to announce that, under the EU Civl Protection Mechanism, Romania will receive oxygen concentrators from Poland and the Netherlands.


The delivery will consist of 200 oxygen concentrators from the rescEU stocks of the Netherlands and 50 items of oxygen related equipment from Poland to help the country combat cases of Covid-19.


“This is the current situation and we need everyone to mobilise in order to copy with it. We are facing a difficult situation and it is clear that we all need to comprehend this moment and we have to make a sacrifice,” said Citu.


MEP Nicu Stefanutu took to social media to praise the assistance offered by European countries.


He said, “The Commission has mobilised and the member countries have responded. European solidarity is at the heart of all our joint actions.”
