The role of safety valve

The safety valve is a special valve that is in a normally closed state under the action of external force. When the pressure of the medium in the equipment or pipeline rises beyond the specified value, it discharges the medium to the outside of the system to prevent the medium pressure in the pipeline or equipment from exceeding the specified value. . Safety valves are automatic valves, mainly used in boilers, pressure vessels and pipelines. The control pressure does not exceed the specified value, which plays an important role in protecting personal safety and equipment operation. Note: The safety valve must be pressure tested before it can be used.

The safety valve plays a safety protection role in the system. When the system pressure exceeds the specified value, the safety valve is opened, and part of the gas/fluid in the system is discharged into the atmosphere/pipeline, so that the system pressure does not exceed the allowable value, thereby ensuring that the system does not cause an accident due to excessive pressure.

Safety valve is an important accessory on special equipment (boiler, pressure vessel, pressure pipeline, etc.) for pressure limiting and pressure relief, which plays a role in safety protection. Safety valves are generally installed directly on special equipment, and their design, manufacture, installation, use, and inspection must meet the requirements of relevant regulations for special equipment, because its reliability and performance are directly related to equipment and personal safety. Safety is closely related to energy saving and environmental protection.
